Manulea Wallengren, 1863; Wien ent. Monatschr. 7: 145-146, TS: Lithosia gilveola Ochsenheimer
= Ilema Hampson, 1900; Hampson, 1900, Cat. Lep. Phalaenae Br. Mus. 2: 130
= Eilema Hübner, [1819]; [MOB7, 316]
Manulca ; Turner, 1940, [AUCL# (missp.)]

This genus does not agree with my other structure. In [GNM2] the type species is listed as Lithosia gilveola Ochsenheimer, 1810, and a synonym of Noctua unita Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775. However, this is a synonym of Phalaena palliatella Scopoli, 1763 (= Eilema palliatellum (Scopoli, 1763)). To fit, I would have to either split Eilema or include Manulea into it. --msa
